ToHN Daily: Maple Leafs call up Kyle Clifford; Sharks trying to trade Kane

Published

on

The Toronto Maple Leafs have welcomed a familiar face back into the fold. Toronto traded to acquire left winger Kyle Clifford from the St. Louis Blues after Clifford cleared waivers. He had not recoded a point in two games with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL, but points are not really Kyle Clifford’s appeal. He is a physical winger who still plays a reliable, and somewhat underrated, defensive game.

Will retaining salary helps Sharks get a Kane deal done? Can the Avalanche get some key players inked to extensions?
